Okay, I admit it... I love pie!

One of my last blogs was about my commitment to training and getting in shape but there are just some things I can't give up. I am a firm believer in moderation and I worked with Country Living Magazine and my new friend Katie Woolsey last week on the best of the best pies for the Holidays. They tested 40 pies and I got to test their top 5! All I can say is YUMMY!

I have never had such incredible pies and the best part of the pies they tested? They were all MAIL ORDER pies! I figured you would want to know where to get them - being that many people share my affection for the crispy crust and sweet/tart soft inside! Here you go, with enough time to order before Thanksgiving.

I'm going for my "bite" of pie now.

Apple pie - pioneer pies. What makes this so delicious is the golden double crust on top and the thick cut Washington apples.

Pecan pie pecan - three brother's bakery is based out of Texas they have had five generations to get this recipe just right. They only use whole pecans. It's also dairy-free so if you have any lactose and tolerant guests, this is the perfect dessert option.

Pumpkin pie - This is from Grand Travers Pie Company. It has a really dense mousse like texture. This one if you go to GTpie.com and enter CLM at check out you can get a 15% off.

Cherry crumble pie. This is from mom's apple pie company based out of Virginia. And the nice thing about this is the contrast between sweet, flakey crumble topping and the sour cherry filling. These are all natural preservative free pies. And she uses as little sugar as possible so that you really taste the food.

Sweet potato pie. This is from a company from New Jersey called Mr. Todd’s. He fresh peels his yams every single day. He never ships a frozen pie, it's always shipped fresh. Just go to WhyBake.com.

This is sweet, savory, and spicy and could double as a side dish as well.
