The John Lynch Foundation is committed to developing leaders by encouraging dreams, by providing programs that assist and motivate, and by recognizing achievement and excellence. The goal of this foundation is to recognize student athletes who excel in academics, athletics and community involvement. This foundation is making a big difference in these kids' lives. There are so many kids out there that need that extra help, whether it's a scholarship or some extra recognition, and the John Lynch Foundation has helped to provide this to them. John Lynch co-hosted with Natalie on Colorado's "Everyday" Show and they talked about the foundation and all the good it is bringing to the community.
Natalie was there at the ground breaking ceremony for a half million dollar dream home that St. Jude is giving away. The home is being built by Joyce Homes and located in Castle Rock, the Meadows Community which is a new community with great views. There are a lot of people donating their time and resources to make this home happen. It's being built to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital which helps families regardless of their inability to pay for treatment. This is a great opportunity to win a dream home while helping kids at the same time! The upcoming giveaway is scheduled for fall 2011. Tickets will be available beginning in August 2011.
Principles of the Old West can inspire a struggling student to turn things around. The Center for Cowboy Ethics and Leadership is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the belief that everyone needs a code... a creed to live by. Inspired by the working cowboy's core principles of honesty, loyalty, and courage, this organization's aim is to bring the simple, timeless values embodied in the Code of the West back to the fore of American life. Natalie visited Cherry Creek High School where she interviewed students who had their lives turned around by the principles this organization teaches.
UNDERWEARNESS is 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization providing new underwear to children in need. There are numbers of homeless children and they, often times, go without. Underwear is one of the most underdonated necessities that kids need. The lack of underwear is not only a hygiene concern, but it can also hurt a child's self esteem. This one-of-a-kind non-profit is bringing awareness to the need for underwear. This organization takes donations of new, unopened underwear and that's what they give to hundreds and hundreds of kids in need, building self confidence and making life easier. Visit their Website below to find out about their fundraisers and where you can make a donation.
