The Top Health and Wellness Trends You Need to Know in 2023

I am always watching for new technologies and new approaches to healthy living. As a health reporter and wellness expert, I am all about finding ways to improve the way we feel and the way we go about our healthy lifestyles. There are a lot of exciting trends on the horizon in 2023. Here are some of the top health trends you will want to know about.

Telemedicine

Telemedicine has become more important than ever. Patients can now see a doctor or specialist from the comfort of their own homes using video conferencing technology. This trend is set to continue growing in popularity as people realize the convenience and cost-effectiveness of virtual doctor visits. To learn more about telemedicine, check out the Sesame a service that allows you to book a doctor, test, lab, or procedure in minutes. Plush Care, an easy to use online service with board certified doctors or Everlywell- another telehealth site where you can schedule an appointment witih a healthcare professional (with or without insurance).

Plant-based diets

More and more people are discovering the benefits of a plant-based diet. Whether it's for environmental, ethical, or health reasons, the trend of eating more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and legumes is on the rise. With more options for plant-based products and restaurant options available, it's easier than ever to make the switch. To learn more about the benefits of a plant-based diet, check out an interview I did with a plant based diet expert Nastasha McKeon here. You might also like the Purple Carrot plan which makes plant based eating very easy. Or, Fresh n' Lean, an organic, chef prepared, fully cooked meal delivery service. Any of these above options make the plant based diet plan easy and fun. And yes, you can get protein in a plant based program.

Mental health support

Mental health is finally getting the attention and support it deserves. From therapy to medication, there are more resources available than ever to help people with mental health concerns. Additionally, people are starting to understand the importance of self-care and taking care of their mental health. To learn more about mental health support, check out TalkSpace, an online way to get help with individual therapy, couples therapy, psychiatirc care and more. No more excuses about not wanting to drive to get help. You can log on to talk to a specialist and finally get the mental support you need. You might also try Headspace, Most importantly, know that getting help doesn't have to be difficult and you are certainly not alone.

Wearable technology

Wearable technology is becoming more and more sophisticated, allowing people to monitor their fitness levels, sleep patterns, and even their heart rate. With the rise of smartwatches and fitness trackers, people are able to get a more comprehensive understanding of their health and make changes to improve it. To learn more about wearable technology, check out the Oura Ring, The Garmin Watch and the Apple Watch. Or for something sophisticated and different take a look at Appolo Neuroscience, their devices track more than just fitness!

Personalized nutrition

No two people are exactly alike, and the same goes for their nutritional needs. With advances in technology, people are now able to get a more personalized understanding of what they need to eat to stay healthy. From DNA testing to personalized meal plans, there are more options available than ever to help people get the right nutrients for their unique needs. To learn more about personalized nutrition, check out Nebula (DNA testing), or, Gainful - a supplement company that custom blends for your needs.

it is so fun to see how technology and these new health opportunities are shaping the way we live and breath (litterally). By exploring these resources and trends, you can learn more about each one and discover new ways to prioritize your health and wellness this year. 168: Mastering Financial Habits and Mindsets with Brad Nelson

Insights from the Natalie Tysdal Podcast with Brad Nelson Finances are an integral part of our daily lives, influencing not only our present but also our future. In a recent episode of the Natalie Tysdal Podcast, host Natalie Tysdal is joined by financial expert Brad Nelson to discuss the human traits essential for financial success: habits, choices, behaviors, and changing one's financial mindset. Let's dive deeper into the key takeaways from this enlightening conversation. The Importance of Budgeting: More Than Just Numbers Budgeting often carries a misconception of being restrictive or tedious. Natalie and Brad emphasize a different perspective: budgeting is a critical tool for financial freedom. They argue that budgeting isn't just about math; it's a strategic approach that helps you understand your financial landscape, make informed decisions, and achieve your goals. To illustrate its importance, they highlight how developing good financial habits through consistent budgeting can make money management simpler and less stressful over time. Budgeting is not a one-time task but a continuous process that demands discipline and a long-term commitment. Understanding Healthy Debt and Its Risks Debt is often viewed negatively, but it's crucial to differentiate between healthy and unhealthy debt. Brad and Natalie explore this distinction with examples like mortgages, which can be considered healthy debts if they're manageable and used to acquire appreciating assets. However, they caution about the risks associated with any type of debt, emphasizing the need for careful assessment and planning. The conversation also touches upon the use of credit cards for points and rewards. While tempting, Brad reminds listeners of the potential pitfalls, suggesting that debit cards might be a better alternative for those prone to overspending.   Listen as we speak: 00:00 - Financial Challenges Faced by Women 05:01 - Developing a Clear Vision for Financial Goals 09:58 - Starting with a Budget and Tracking Expenses 12:55 - Developing Good Financial Habits - 16:40 - The Power of Saving Early 23:07 - Teaching Children about Financial Habits Notes from Natalie: Get weekly tips and updates: https://marvelous-designer-6863.ck.page/fd348899af Seeking Health: www.natalietysdal.com/favorites  Before you go on Camera: https://www.natalietysdal.com/mediatraining Podcast Launch Guide: https://www.natalietysdal.com/mediatrainin Anti Burnout Worksheet: https://marvelous-designer-6863.ck.page/b6d4b2c9d2 Connect with Natalie 🎙 Listen to the Podcast!  https://link.chtbl.com/tdlFA4aN 👉 Connect with Natalie!  Website: https://www.natalietysdal.com  🤓 Read the Blog!  https://www.natalietysdal.com/blog 🎥 Watch the show on video!  https://www.youtube.com/ntysdal 📧 Email me! hello@natalietysdal.com 💥 Follow me on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/ntysdal/  💥 Follow me on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/NatalieTysdal/  💥 Follow me on TikTok https://www.tiktok.com/@ntysdal 📌 Follow me on Pinterest! https://www.pinterest.com/ntysdal/ 📞Leave me a voicemail (online) https://www.speakpipe.com/msg/s/328568/5/7bxm9ye0bim4xyj0 https://www.youtube.com/c/ntysdal Sign Up for Natalie’s Newsletter:  https://page.natalietysdal.com/newsletter Thank you for helping us grow! https://page.natalietysdal.com/products/thanks   Business Email: hello@natalietysdal.com
